This role is the “Client Relationship Manager” responsible for proactive and strategic engagement with customers to further the relationship with UnitedHealthcare. The KA Field Account Manager educates customers on benefit plans and UnitedHealthcare tools and communicates administrative/service-related changes. The position trains customers on UnitedHealthcare tools and resources and conducts open enrollment meetings, wellness fairs, and lunch-and-learn events, coordinating coverage with other offices/vendors when needed. The role also facilitates the relationship between the customer and the Central Service team (CSO/DCSM) and provides education on service escalation paths for assigned employer groups and their employees. This position reports to the local field market leader. This position follows a hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week.
Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate, staff, and conduct open enrollment meetings and wellness fairs
Act as a strategic partner and consultative resource to the customer, responsible for the customer’s total service experience
Deploy and train customers on UnitedHealthcare’s core wellness tools and resources
Meet with customers regularly to review service-related statistics and identify ideas for improving the customer experience
Communicate administrative or service-related changes to the customer
Report and advise customers on member engagement with wellness programs and other plan features
Address and partner with central sales support and matrixed teams to resolve escalated issues
Train and educate customers on UHC eServices, eCR Reporting, and other eTools as appropriate
Required Qualifications
Insurance license as required by law within 90 days of hire
2+ years of experience in managing customer relationships
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Superior presentation skills in both small and large group settings
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence internal business partners
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other virtual productivity tools
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to travel as required (approximately 50%)
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of health care industry experience
Human Resources or medical benefits experience
Proven ability to work with external customers such as employers, consumers, consultants, and brokers
Adherence to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy for remote employees
Pay is based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and incentive programs. The hourly pay range for this role is $21.63 to $48.08 per hour, based on full-time employment, and may include bonuses based on sales performance.
