Stevenson School is a PK-12 co‑educational, college‑preparatory, boarding and day school with enrollment of 750 students. The Upper Division campus (9‑12) is located in Pebble Beach, CA and Lower/Middle Campus (PK‑8) is in nearby Carmel‑by‑the‑Sea, CA. Alumni Relations Coordinator Stevenson School is seeking an
Alumni Relations Coordinator
who will report to the Director of Development. The Alumni Relations Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and overseeing a comprehensive alumni relations and alumni giving program. A key focus of activity over the coming years will be directing a strategic vision for events, programming, and constituent outreach to increase and deepen engagement. This is a full‑time, 12‑month per year position.
Responsibilities
Strengthen the traditional activities of alumni relations, including reunions, recognition and donor engagement events, career networking events, engagement platforms, and social and affinity programming
Build alumni philanthropic participation by growing and managing the annual fund volunteer base, personally soliciting alumni, and working with the Director of Development or other advancement colleagues to create compelling giving opportunities
Serve as the primary liaison to the Stevenson Alumni Association President and to other alumni volunteer committees
Work with the Communications team on the Stevenson Newsletter and Stevenson Magazine
Ensure projects and events are completed on time and within budget
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Five to seven years of professional experience in public relations, event planning, or fundraising
Familiarity with CRMs, social media platforms, web, and standard workplace technology
Superb interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, presentation, event planning, and social skills
Ability to manage multiple demands simultaneously
Ability to create engaging outreach content quickly and regularly
Familiarity with an independent school environment
Capacity to anticipate challenges and initiate solutions
Flexibility and ability to travel, work an average of three to four evenings and one weekend per month
Thorough understanding of and commitment to the mission of the school
Ability to maintain an exceptional level of confidentiality and professional discretion
High degree of professionalism
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong work ethic and willingness to be flexible
Ability to multi‑task and work effectively in a fast paced environment
Ability to work independently with a customer‑focused approach

This is a 12‑month, full‑time exempt position. Some responsibilities require working in the evenings and/or on weekends, as well as business travel where overnight stays are required.
The candidate must successfully pass a criminal background check.
Benefits The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000 based on experience. In addition to competitive salary, Stevenson offers a substantial benefits package including generous retirement plan contributions, a menu of Anthem medical plans with generous premium coverage provided by the School, vision and dental group plans and support of ongoing professional development. Stevenson offers housing and fuel stipends for eligible employees. Lunch is provided on a daily basis when school is in session.
