Career Advancement Customer Account Representative Lead, Data Technician

On-the-Job Training Experienced staff provide invaluable guidance in navigating the complexities of financial record-keeping & customer service, ensuring proficiency in maintaining & balancing water customer accounting records. Through ongoing mentorship, employees gain significant exposure to billing procedures & financial statement preparation, fostering a thorough understanding of municipal finance operations. Duties

Maintains & balances the water customer accounting records.

Prepares & enters data in the computer for customers.

Receives customer service requests & enters into computer.

Answers inquiries & provides customer service in-person & via telephone.

Prepares water customer accounting financial statements.

Makes deposits, reconciles cash drawers.

Routinely handles a large amount of money.

Education

High school diploma or G.E.D.

Experience

Two (2) years of experience in bookkeeping, customer service or clerical work preferred.

Must have excellent telephone communication skills & the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy office.

Ability to type minimum of 40 wpm.

Work Type

Light, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

This position sits about 75 percent of the time.

Computer, copy machine, fax machine, inserting machine, printer, telephone, & ten-key calculator.

Hours

Monday – Friday

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Starting Pay DOQ

$17.90-18.80/hr.

$37,232-39,104/yr.

Additional $1.50/hour paid for hours worked after 6:00 p.m. & before 6:00 a.m.

Paid Time Off

48 hours of vacation available upon hire; additional 48 hours earned during the year (96 hours in first year).

96 hours of sick leave during first year.
