Department: Facilities Maintenance - UH FTE: 1.00 Full Time Shift: Rotating
Position Summary: Maintain and install low voltage systems within the Hospital and satellite facilities. Perform a variety of standard related maintenance duties and tasks. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.
Detailed Responsibilities
MAINTENANCE – Install, repair, and maintain all assigned systems within the hospital and satellite facilities.
RECORDS – Maintain records pertinent to the operation, maintenance, and repair of above noted systems.
HARDWARE – Assist in IT equipment repair as needed.
TOOLS & EQUIPMENT – Maintain all hospital owned tools in safe operating condition and report any unsafe tools needing repair to the supervisor.
SAFETY – Observe all safety rules and regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.
ASSISTANCE – Assist other department personnel as needed.
RELATED WORK – Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
MAINTENANCE – Perform equipment maintenance as part of the facility maintenance response team as assigned.
Qualifications Related Education and Experience may be substituted for one another on a year for year basis.
Education
Essential: High School or GED Equivalent
Nonessential: Vocational or Technical
Education specialization: 1 Year Related Field
Experience
Essential: 1 year directly related experience
Nonessential: No preferred experience
Credentials
Essential: Valid New Mexico Driver's License
UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit within 60 days
Vocational Certificate in related specialized field
Physical Conditions Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
Working Conditions
Minor Hazard – physical risks, dirt, dust, fumes, noise
Subject to random alcohol and substance testing
