Marty’s, Inc. is looking to add a new member to our Parts Team!
Parts Advisor/Counter Person The Parts Advisor/Counter Person is responsible for assisting technicians and customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies. As a counter person you will sell spare and replacement parts and equipment in the service department to both the service department and to customers directly.
Job duties for a Parts Advisor/Counter Person include:
Work with service advisors, and technicians to build accurate price quotes
Make every effort to locate needed parts when the dealership is out of stock.
Handle parts payment collection and make sure all parts are billed correctly through the service department, or parts invoices
Assist with daily inventory, receiving, stocking and shipping.
Assist in maintaining perpetual inventories.
Refer to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic format) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model and year of vehicles being serviced.
Help maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the parts counter, work area and stockroom.
Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
Assist customers, such as responding to customer complaints and updating them about back-ordered parts.
Job Requirements:
A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
Previous parts advisor experience or automotive experience a plus but not required
Understand basic automotive components and systems
Ability to complete tasks in a fast-paced work environment
A positive attitude
Working knowledge of computers
Be at least eighteen years of age
Possess a valid in-state driver's license with a motor vehicle report and an acceptable safe driving record
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: up to $70,000 annually (Pay commensurate to experience)
