Resident Services Coordinator

to join our team at our newly renovated 70‑bed skilled nursing facility. Position Summary

The Resident Services Coordinator provides administrative and clerical support to the Social Services and Admissions Department, ensuring an efficient admissions process and supporting high‑quality resident care. Responsibilities

Admissions and Intake Support

Assist guests and family members in completing the admission process, ensuring all required paperwork is completed and all necessary financial and medical records are obtained. Assist with the coordination, intake, admission, and transfer of guests within the facility. Ensure rooms are appropriately prepared prior to new guest arrivals. Orient guests and their families to the facility, its services, and guests’ rights. Conduct regular check‑ins with new admissions to identify concerns, assess satisfaction, and surface opportunities for service enhancement. Administrative and Office Support

Provide general office support, including typing, filing, and maintaining accurate admission records. Keep up‑to‑date evaluation documentation on each guest’s activities in compliance with regulations. Resident Support and Interaction

Uphold guest comfort, privacy, and dignity through warm, respectful, and supportive interactions. Respond promptly and courteously to guest call lights. Provide informal counseling when needed to address issues that may hinder guests’ socialization and participation in activities. Participate in scheduled care conferences and identify psychosocial needs for incorporation into the care plan. Compliance, Safety, and Team Participation

Maintain infection control and standard precaution practices at all times. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and in‑service trainings. Prerequisites

High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in social or human services preferred. Experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting preferred but not required. Experience in customer service and/or hospitality strongly preferred. Strong communication, customer‑service, and organizational skills. Demonstrated positive attitude, reliability, and an interest in working collaboratively with a team. Proficiency with office software and electronic medical records. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively with residents, families, and staff. Ability to meet basic physical requirements of the role. Completion of required background checks and health screenings. Seniority level
