Compensation:
$70,000–$90,000 annually

Position Summary North River Yacht Club is seeking a dedicated Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance, care, and overall presentation of our championship golf course. This individual will be responsible for leading and developing the agronomy team, managing turf health, implementing agronomic programs, and ensuring top-level conditioning for our members and guests. The Superintendent reports directly to the Director of Agronomy and plays a key role in planning and executing maintenance strategies that align with the Club’s vision for quality and excellence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance, including turf health, irrigation, and equipment use.
Develop and implement agronomic programs for fertilization, pest management, and cultural practices.
Lead, train, and evaluate maintenance staff to ensure safety, efficiency, and workmanship standards.
Collaborate with the Director of Agronomy on budgeting, capital planning, and long-term course development.
Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and local regulations.
Communicate effectively with club leadership, staff, and members to ensure exceptional course conditions year-round.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $70,000 – $90,000 depending on experience.

Required
Experience in golf course maintenance or similar turf management roles.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to manage staff, budgets, and project timelines.
Working knowledge of irrigation systems, turf equipment, and agronomic best practices.
Preferred
Degree or certification in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field.
Previous experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent.
Familiarity with Toro and John Deere.
Excellent communication and team-building skills.
