Position Purpose
Centene is transforming the health of our communities. This remote position requires 25% in‑field work in the greater NYC area and oversees 10 Provider Engagement Account Managers. The role manages provider relations staff, ensures policy compliance, escalates claim issues, participates in provider meetings, hires, trains, and develops staff while managing projects and ad hoc requests. Responsibilities
Manage staff in provider relations area including workflow, training and communication standards Oversee day‑to‑day provider relations activities and department operations Develop, implement and maintain production and quality standards for provider relations staff Monitor and analyze costs and prepare departmental budget Coordinate pre‑contract activities with providers such as site visits, credentialing, orientation to contractual requirements Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 4+ years of managed care, health delivery system and/or project and staff management experience. Experience with state and federal health programs (Medicaid and Medicare) and provider relations/contracting experience with solid communication and negotiation skills. Prior lead experience managing cross‑functional teams, hiring, training, assigning work and managing staff performance. Pay Range
$86,000.00 – $154,700.00 per year. Benefits
