Bass Pro Shops is hiring an Asset Protection Coordinator for our new Tucson, AZ store. The role reports to the Market Asset Protection Manager and protects store assets, ensures compliance and safety.
Responsibilities
Drive training and continued development for all outfitters on shrink, safety and security functions.
Cascade Asset Protection directives and initiatives to store leadership and other outfitters.
Deliver exceptional customer service and interact with customers while on the sales floor.
Identify root causes of shrink through analysis of cycle counts, trailer audits, known loss and vendor compliance opportunities.
Use data to review inventory adjustments, confirm over/short shipments and investigate discrepancies.
Encourage a strong commitment to asset protection programs with all outfitters and vendors.
Drive education to ensure merchandise protection tools are removed and product is paid for at point of purchase locations.
Monitor facility property/parking area to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Conduct known loss investigations and exception report reviews.
Assist with investigations into criminal activity, policy violations, illicit behavior, workplace accidents, workplace violence and operational loss.
Monitors criminal cases, appear in court and testify as warranted.
When assigned may conduct information gathering and integrity interviews.
Assist in investigating irregularities to Firearms protocols.
Ensure all asset protection and security related systems are maintained and working appropriately.
Assist store leadership by promoting safety programs, support safe work procedures and participate on safety committee.
Prepare detailed and accurate reports in a timely manner.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent (minimum).
Associate or Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management or related field is preferred.
Certificates or licenses required by local jurisdiction.
Previous experience in security, asset protection, and safety preferred; retail inventory background is an asset.
Must possess or be able to obtain any certifications or licenses required by applicable law.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
Experience conducting criminal or internal investigations.
Experience using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS, etc.).
Experience conducting quality reviews and audits.
Current AHA First Aid, CPR and AED certification is preferred.
Travel Requirements
Travel is not an essential function; if requested will be less than 10%.
Physical Requirements
Regularly performs computer work, walks, stands and lifts up to 50 lbs; occasionally sits.
