This position is responsible for obtaining the maximum sales in accordance with established sales targets for the territory as defined by individual objectives and performance standards set by ABB Sales Management.

This position will work directly with the Regional Sales Manager and the Account Managers/Inside Account Managers to call on current and new customers. This position will be responsible for providing training on ABB Labs and Stock Lenses to support sales.

Essential Responsibilities

Sales performance and account relations

Consistently achieving established sales goals

Develops and utilizes call schedules to effectively plan territory activities

Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with their ABB, Lab, and Vendor partners to ensure successful account relations and achievement of sales objectives

Develop existing customer base to ensure the annual sales target is achieved and or exceeded in collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager and the Account Manager/Inside Sale Representative

Maximize consultative selling approaches and maintain outside sales territory with face-to-face

Support sales of ABB Labs and Stock Lenses products within territory through education

Play key role in promotion and demonstration of ABB Labs and Stock Lens solutions during new product launch trainings

Work closely with management to ensure that training needs are met

Communicates with Director, ABB Labs Network Sales on an ongoing basis regarding personal growth, sales results, and plans of action

Functions independently in sales territory, with periodic direction from sales management

Detailing of lab products and marketing initiatives to the account base in a targeted way

Inform current and potential customers of products, promotions and services to generate new business or to increase business

Effectively utilizes analytical tools and software applications to manage accounts

Anticipates account needs/issues, addresses proactively, resolves account issues in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications

At least five (5) years of combined experience in field-based business-to-business sales and lens lab work, with at least three (3) of those years specifically in field-based business-to-business sales. (must be the most recent/current experience)

Prior territory management in the optical industry (managing a base of accounts) with a quota assignment

Geographic knowledge and selling experience in the currently open territory

Demonstrated presentation skills

Required skills: self-motivation, ability to be part of and work well with a team, prioritization (management of diverse tasks), ability to work under pressure, effective time management, organization, customer-focus and the willingness to take ownership of projects.

Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.

Intermediate skills with general PC usage and applications

Intermediate skills with mobile technologies (e.g. iPad)

Intermediate skills with MS Office applications

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Demonstrated job progression

A record of success in previous roles including sales awards

Client Relationship Management (CRM) System experience

For U.S. Candidates Compensation Range The anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 annually. This represents the good-faith estimate of the compensation range at the time of posting.

Actual pay will be based on job-related factors, which may include:

Geographic location

Education and qualifications

Job-related skills

Internal equity considerations

Applicable minimum wage laws

This position may also be eligible for a bonus and/or commission plan, subject to the terms of the applicable plan.
