Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Funeral Director/Embalmer.
Valid Funeral Director/Embalmer license and/or ability to obtain license or application by endorsement in the state where business is located.
Demonstrated willingness to participate in growth of market through community involvement.
Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.
Job Duties
Meet with client families to listen and arrange personalized memorial services.
Ensure timely and appropriate document filling in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
Conduct and attend services regularly.
Maintain open and effective communication and accurate, up-to-date client files.
Understand and implement company provided training.
Work on-call/first call with proven embalming skills in our care center location(s).
Utilize proprietary software for merchandise options, contracts, and complete necessary forms.
Lead employees to ensure high standard of professionalism and service level is achieved.
Participate in events alongside community groups and/or organizations.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Performed in an indoor office setting; some duties may be outdoors requiring exposure to natural elements.
Must have sufficient strength and manual dexterity and be willing to work safely and comply with safety procedures, including wearing PPE as required.
Required to climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, and frequently lift up to 75 pounds, may lift up to 100 pounds.
May require power reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Routine exposure to chemicals and/or bloodborne pathogens.
Must be able to drive a company vehicle and maintain a good driving record; insurable under company vehicle insurance.
