Role Overview
The Hospice Account Manager is responsible for expanding hospice services by building and managing relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and referral sources. This role involves developing outreach strategies, attending events, and educating potential partners about the organization’s hospice offerings. The position plays a key role in driving growth, coordinating patient transitions, and ensuring seamless care. Responsibilities
Relationship Building:
Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, healthcare facilities, and community organizations to promote hospice services.
Outreach & Education:
Educate referral sources on the benefits of hospice care and address end-of-life care questions with sensitivity.
Leadership:
Lead outreach initiatives, manage efforts to meet growth targets, and coordinate with internal teams to align activities with overall goals.
New Partnerships:
Identify and cultivate new referral sources to expand service reach.
Event Coordination:
Attend outreach events, conferences, and meetings to increase visibility and foster relationships.
Collaboration:
Work with clinical and operational teams to ensure smooth transitions for referred patients and maintain continuity of care.
Market Analysis:
Track market trends, competitor activity, and referral patterns to inform outreach strategies and identify growth opportunities.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of two years in sales or marketing, preferably within the hospice or home health industry.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and manage a territory.
Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with healthcare regulations, particularly those related to hospice and home care, is a plus.
