Community Liaison – The University of New Mexico Position type: Off‑Campus Work‑Study (Student Employment)

Location: Onate Hall, Room 2201, UNM, Albuquerque, NM

Pay range:

$13.00/hr – $16.00/hr

(actual pay based on skills and experience)

Position Summary The Community Liaison will provide organization and communication for all community contacts, parents and staff. The position involves verbal and written communication to constituents, usage of social networking, updating the web page, tracking social media and reviewing and sharing analytics. Responsibilities include maintaining the website, list serve, project announcements and newsletters, designing announcements for Facebook and Twitter as well as flyers for dissemination, and assisting with organizing events and community media outings.

Responsibilities

Serve as point of contact for community partners and constituents.

Communicate verbally and in writing with parents, staff, and community stakeholders.

Manage and update social media platforms and website content.

Track social media usage and analyze metrics to inform outreach strategies.

Create and distribute project announcements, newsletters, flyers and other collateral.

Assist in planning and coordinating events and media outreach.

Qualifications

Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; web‑savvy.

Experience with social media management and basic analytics.

Ability to work independently; willingness to work weekends if needed.

Student status with an active Work‑Study award; 10‑15 hours per week.
