Role Overview The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will cover the Western United States, Western Canada, and Latin America. The primary responsibility is to develop and close new and existing business through the management and support of our distributor network.
This role requires a consultative, technically credible approach and a passion for serving customers across industries such as energy, industrial automation, petrochemical, OEM machinery, and manufacturing.
This RSM position reports to the Director of Global Sales.
Key Responsibilities Territory & Channel Growth
Develop, execute, and own a regional growth plan that delivers profitable sales.
Create sales growth plans with distributors and drive new business wins.
Strengthen VERSA’s presence within strategic market segments.
Distributor & Customer Support
Manage and support distributors to ensure alignment, engagement, and shared success.
Provide excellent customer and distributor support through product training, application engineering, and joint calls.
Build strong, trust-based relationships with distributors, OEMs, EPCs, and end users.
Business Development
Identify new opportunities, cultivate relationships, and close business with OEM and end-user accounts.
Utilize CRM to identify, track, and close new business opportunities.
Maintain a steady travel cadence across the Western U.S., Western Canada, and Latin America.
Provide accurate territory updates, forecasts, and voice-of-customer insights.
Qualifications Required
Five-plus years of industrial sales experience, ideally involving distributors or channel partners.
Impeccable ethics, strong interpersonal skills, and a relationship-first mindset.
A hunger to always learn more, with demonstrated initiative in professional development.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Professional sales training and experience with consultative selling.
Ability to travel up to 50–60% across the region and Latin America.
Preferred
Strong knowledge of pneumatic systems or industrial automation.
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related).
Bilingual English/Spanish (written and verbal) a plus.
Experience selling valves, pneumatics, or flow-control equipment.
