Regional Sales Manager (Austin/SAT/Houston)
Sirtex Medical Limited is a global leader in healthcare, dedicated to improving patient outcomes through minimally invasive cancer therapies. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) serves as the primary interface between Sirtex and its customers, focusing on sales objectives and account management.
Salary Base pay: $105,000 – $305,000 per year (range dependent on level hired). Variable bonus: $140,000 – $160,000, with additional potential based on milestones.
Job Description The RSM is responsible for prospecting new accounts, servicing existing accounts, and meeting a predetermined sales quota. Key duties include account management, training, compliance, and customer feedback reporting.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement account plans for key accounts and partners to generate strategic relationships.
Deliver selling presentations and on‑site product demonstrations to physicians and healthcare professionals.
Develop an understanding of the market unique to the assigned territory.
Continuously educate oneself on disease states and the latest clinical articles that impact Sirtex.
Build relationships across all hospital areas key to Sirtex.
Manage and exceed set business targets within the assigned territory.
Execute business meetings with healthcare professionals.
Create and maintain accurate records and sales reports.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as AdvaMed.
Other duties as needed to support the team.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of medical device sales experience, preferably in interventional radiology.
Experience with key opinion leaders and program development.
Strong ability to articulate a clinical sales message to diverse healthcare professionals.
Proven track record of sales success, including awards or increased responsibilities.
Relationships with interventional radiologists is a plus.
Business development skills to generate referrals from oncology teams.
Strong organizational, time‑management, and presentation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self‑motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
Current valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Resides within and willing to travel within the territory (50‑65% travel, including weekends/holidays).
Physical ability to sit, walk, stand, lift up to 25 lbs, and possible radiation exposure.
