Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager – HVAC Aftermarket is responsible for driving aftermarket growth across Nortek’s Representative network in the United States and Canada (90% U.S.). This role focuses on retrofit solutions, proactive parts programs, and leveraging installed‑base data to identify opportunities. Success is measured by achieving a 25% year‑over‑year pipeline growth, maintaining a win rate greater than 40% on large‑scale “whale” HVAC projects, and consistently meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual orders and sales budgets. A key priority is ensuring Rep satisfaction through strong partnership, visibility into project status, and engagement at all stages of the HVAC aftermarket project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Ensure achievement or overachievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual HVAC aftermarket orders and sales budgets.
Cover all Nortek Reps network in the U.S. and Canada (90% U.S.).
Build strong relationships with Reps to enable pipeline development, gain visibility into HVAC project status, and remain engaged at all stages of the project lifecycle.
Partner closely with reps to provide technical, commercial, and strategic support to win HVAC aftermarket projects.
Focus efforts on large‑scale “whale” HVAC aftermarket projects with a target of >40% win rate.
Utilize installed‑base HVAC data and analysis to proactively identify aftermarket opportunities and lead reps in pursuing them.
Promote proactive aftermarket offerings, including HVAC retrofit solutions and proactive parts programs, to maximize revenue opportunities.
Encourage representatives to place stock parts orders to improve responsiveness and customer satisfaction.
Maintain CRM system with accurate and timely HVAC project updates to ensure visibility and accountability.
Display strong external focus through awareness of HVAC market conditions, customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
Provide timely feedback to leadership on aftermarket sales performance, pipeline growth, and required adjustments to objectives.
Prioritize Rep satisfaction by ensuring responsiveness, transparency, and consistent support.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
+10 years of experience in sales with a proven track record of achievements in HVAC aftermarket or parts sales.
Preferred
Experience in HVAC aftermarket sales, retrofit solutions, or proactive parts programs.
Experience using installed‑base data and analytics to drive proactive sales strategies.
Computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to present to large groups and influence stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage high‑volume workload.
Proven ability to work independently within established guidelines and procedures.
Strong relationship‑building skills with Representatives and customers.
