Role Overview As an Account Manager, your mission is to manage and grow customer accounts, drive profitability, and deliver an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Build and transfer shipments into the TMS accurately and efficiently
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers as a trusted consultant, advocate, and problem solver
Proactively communicate with customers to provide updates, anticipate issues, and ensure high satisfaction
Grow revenue within assigned accounts by identifying and developing new business opportunities
Identify key decision-makers within customer organizations to uncover opportunities, influence freight award decisions, and strengthen long‑term partnerships
Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to evaluate pricing and improve gross margin (target: 20%+)
Assist with bids and rate setting to win and retain profitable freight
Maintain accurate data and documentation within internal systems to ensure smooth execution and accountability
Participate in weekly team meetings and contribute to overall team success
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
1–5 years of experience in 3PL or transportation brokerage
Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field
Preferred experience in direct sales or deadline‑driven environments
Strong sense of urgency and accountability
Skills & Expertise
