As a

Mill Sales Manager

for Valmet, you play a key role in building and maintaining solid working relationships with our customers, understanding their needs and identifying how Valmet can partner with them to ensure the right solutions at the right time. This requires a firm grasp of the sales process and a willingness to work cooperatively with our customers and with our internal experts to ensure the highest levels of service. In this challenging role you have the responsibility for coordination of equipment upgrades, rebuilds, repairs, and parts and services within your specified territory. You will have the opportunity to apply your experience in marketing and brand building to achieve key targeted business goals for all of Valmet’s product lines.

You will be responsible for promoting and selling the entire Valmet offering while staying actively involved within your assigned region to fully understand and analyze the market for product growth.

Responsibilities will include providing updates on sales, projections, bookings, proposal activities, costs and other related customer activities.

Expectations This opportunity could be right for you if you have a Bachelor of Engineering, Science or Business Degree combined with 5 to 10 years related technical experience in various positions as machine engineer, process manager, paper mill operations or maintenance management or commercial and account management experience with suppliers that serve the pulp and paper industry. Equivalent combination of education and experience combined with experience in sales will be seriously considered.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You will participate in as well as lead equipment audits, onsite services, data collection, inventory audits or other support for customers with respect to paper machine services or in support of specific customer contracts and agreements. You will help provide a territory sales forecast/budget for assigned accounts including competitor analysis.
