We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our team at Gen-Mark, a leading electrical manufacturers’ representative servicing Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers and distributors, supporting outside sales efforts, managing quotes and orders, and helping drive profitable growth across our electrical product lines. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a strong ability to learn, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about building long-term customer relationships while delivering exceptional service and support.

About This Role:

Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

Quoting and Order Processing: Preparing and submitting accurate price quotes, processing customer orders, and managing the order lifecycle from placement to delivery.

Product Knowledge and Technical Assistance: Developing in-depth knowledge of the electrical products represented, and providing technical information, specifications, and solutions to customers.

Lead Qualification and Follow-up: Identifying and qualifying new sales leads and diligently following up on inquiries and opportunities to move them through the sales pipeline.

Problem Resolution: Addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively, escalating complex problems when necessary.

Market Intelligence: Gathering and reporting on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to help inform sales and marketing strategies.

CRM Management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer and sales data within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Cross‑selling and Upselling: Identifying opportunities to cross‑sell complementary products or upsell higher‑value solutions to existing customers.

Inventory and Availability Checks: Assisting customers with product availability, lead times, and inventory inquiries.

Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly and concisely.

Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with diverse clients.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook).

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing customer needs and challenges.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Technical aptitude and a willingness to continuously learn about new products and industry trends.

Salary is negotiable based upon experience.

Compensation:

Competitive Salary + quarterly performance bonuses.

Office Hours:

Our office is open Monday‑Friday from 8:00 – 5:00.

Optional Office Fridays

Schedule:

8:00AM – 4:30PM
