Job Overview As the Community Engagement Coordinator, you will support the General Manager and provide frontline assistance for both lifestyle programming and administrative operations. Your work will enhance community value and improve residents’ experience through event execution, amenity management, and strong relationships with residents and vendors.
Compensation:
$21+ per hour, based on experience. Salary and wage are commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities.
Your Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and support resident programs, special events, and community-wide initiatives.
Attend and assist with community events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Manage amenity and facility bookings, scheduling, and programming in alignment with resident needs, physical space limitations, and budget considerations.
Develop and track lifestyle budgets for community programs and events.
Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, vendors, and potential sponsors to support lifestyle programs and events.
Coordinate new resident orientation presentations in partnership with the Community Manager.
Develop and coordinate promotions for lifestyle programs through newsletters, email communications, social media, and other marketing channels.
Support volunteer programs and collaborate with lifestyle committees to plan, execute, and fulfill events and initiatives.
Provide front‑desk support with professional, friendly customer service for walk-ins, calls, and emails.
Handle general administrative tasks including service requests, architectural submissions, payments, deposits and amenity access (key fobs).
Prepare meeting agendas, packets and materials; attend board meetings and take minutes as needed.
Draft and distribute correspondence, notices and community communications.
Assist the management team with mailings, welcome packets and special projects.
Maintain knowledge of governing documents, rules and community standards.
Assist with vendor communication, scheduling and follow‑up.
Assist in conducting routine community inspections and tracking violations as needed.
Escalate issues to management as needed.
Perform additional tasks and support community operations as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Exceptional interpersonal skills resulting in strong working relationships.
Strong organizational skills.
Outstanding communication skills.
Excellent listener with the ability to diffuse tense situations.
Able to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
Superb judgment and decision‑making skills.
Able to prioritize and adjust to incoming demands.
Proficient with MS Office suite.
Education and Experience
2+ years of customer service experience (required).
2+ years of coordinating and executing recreational programs and events (preferred).
HOA and/or property management experience (preferred).
Physical Requirements
Sit or stand for extended periods of time in an office environment.
Able to safely lift, carry, and move up to 30 pounds.
Work Location Sonoran Foothills Community Association; 31910 N N Foothills Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85085
Work Hours Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Travel Requirements Regular use of personal vehicle for compliance inspections from occasional corporate meetings/trainings and errands for the Association. Eligible for mileage reimbursement at current IRS approved rates.
