Bulk Sales Specialist
Location: Savannah, GA
Airgas is hiring a Bulk Sales Specialist to support the sale of bulk products in the Savannah, GA market.
Responsibilities
Drive sales growth by supporting branch and outside sales associates to sell bulk gas/systems and on-site generators in the territory.
Coordinate customer bulk gas installation, removal, modification, site survey and quote request activities and cross-sell Airgas products.
Manage relationships with large bulk and on-site customers and provide technical knowledge to match customer needs.
Initiate customer sales calls and provide product and application training, engineering and technical support.
Establish continuous market data collection for customer sales and service needs, market trends and competitor activities.
Utilize sales and marketing literature to promote Airgas initiatives, maintain and upgrade selling skills, and develop pricing and negotiation strategies.
Complete sales-related paperwork, call reports, month-end reports and respond to email and phone calls in a timely manner and operate safely and promote safety.
Perform special projects and other duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field (or up to 4 years of related experience).
3–4 years of prior technical solution-driven sales experience within the bulk gas field (or bulk gas industry experience).
Broad knowledge of bulk products and processes common to Airgas customers.
Demonstrated relationship management and consultative aptitude with ability to problem solve and devise technical solutions.
Strong mathematical, problem solving and analytical skills for cost comparisons and customer sales analysis.
Effective verbal and written communication, active listening, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
Ability to build relationships with all levels and roles within Airgas and outside the organization.
Physical Demands
May occasionally be required to lift up to 60 pounds.
Requires frequent use of computer, telephone and operation of a motor vehicle.
Employee may be required to remain stationary for extended periods of time including sitting in an automobile for long periods of time.
Employee may occasionally be required to transverse through office and/or manufacturing locations.
