Your Day at Lowe’s You will welcome customers, help them locate and select products, load merchandise, and ensure all needs are met. Daily responsibilities may vary by department.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome customers and deliver friendly, professional service.
Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
Down‑stock merchandise by replenishing supplies.
Process orders and deliveries accurately.
Cross‑train in other areas of the store.
Prepare merchandise in your department (e.g., cut and bundle wood, tint paint).
Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
6 months experience using a computer (inputting, accessing, modifying, returning information).
6 months experience with common retail technology (smartphones, tablets).
Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
Able to perform duties requiring prolonged standing, sitting, and other necessary activities.
Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications
Retail or customer service experience.
Bi‑lingual skills.
Certification related to department (hardware, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, etc.).
Travel Requirements No regular travel; occasional travel for meetings, training, or support of neighboring stores.
Working Conditions Exposure to varying weather conditions, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. Noise and moving or shaking objects. Lifting guidelines: single lifts limited to 75 lbs; team lifts used minimally starting at 75 lbs.
