Location: Sulphur Springs, TX
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for overseeing our highest-priority customer relationships and managing large-scale wholesale and installer accounts. This role focuses on driving growth and long-term success with accounts representing $1M+ in total contract value. The Strategic Account Manager must demonstrate exceptional professionalism, strategic thinking, and the ability to strengthen partnerships with key clients to maximize revenue, customer satisfaction, and retention.
Key Responsibilities
Display strong analytical problem-solving skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and a focus on continuous process improvement.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of the technical aspects and components of our products, with the ability to communicate solutions clearly to high-value clients.
Function effectively in high-pressure sales and support environments while protecting company profitability and value.
Collaborate across departments and leadership teams to deliver solutions that meet the needs of top-tier accounts.
Stay highly organized and composed when working with client contacts and customers with complex business objectives.
Maintain pricing structures & contractual agreements while balancing strategic negotiation demands.
Provide proactive account planning, forecasting, and reporting to leadership.
All other duties assigned.
Required Skills and Attributes
The ability to build trusted relationships with people from all backgrounds and regions.
Strategic thinking in identifying opportunities to grow account value, expand partnerships and increase customer loyalty with high-profile clients.
Self-control and professionalism in high stress situations when dealing with unsatisfied customers and providing impeccable customer service.
Motivation to achieve strategic growth objectives and performance metrics with minimal supervision.
A customer-first mindset that simplifies the complexities of the solar industry for key accounts.
Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in account management, strategic sales, or customer success, preferably with B2B or wholesale accounts.
Proven success in managing high-priority accounts.
Strong background in business-to-business sales and relationship management.
Deep understanding of solar industry or demonstrated ability to master technical product portfolios.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
Physical Requirements
This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting 25+ lbs, computer work and other physical activities. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
