Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This position is an entry-level role. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying and contacting prospective clients through cold calling efforts. You will be responsible for initiating meaningful conversations with potential customers, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating the value of our products/services to generate new business opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

Conduct cold calls to targeted leads and prospective clients to introduce our products/services and qualify their interest.

Support Sales team with product and price requests as needed, including bid generation.

Provide and qualify new customers and sales leads to Sales team. Compile lists of prospective customers.

Provide backup to support Customer Service Representatives.

Provide product information and education to sales team as required. Manage marketing materials needed for the Sales team to utilize in their daily tasks. Ensure there are ample supplies of Harcros and vendor literature for customers, both digitally and hard copies.

Track dead and slow‑moving stock. Assist with product code maintenance, including obsolete codes and new product codes.

Support and lead various sales and marketing projects and bids within the district as approved by District Manager.

Review market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and implement sales campaigns to accommodate company goals.

Inform regular customers of new products or services. Build and maintain customer relationships.

Offer technical advice to Harcros Associates at the branch level as requested.

Partner with R&D to understand development of next‑generation products to ensure Harcros remains competitive and on the forefront of technology for the specific markets identified and potential new market segments.

Develop and maintain relationships with industry consortiums.

Quote prices and credit terms. Acquire costs and provide any supporting information for bids.

Prepare reports of business transactions.

Other job duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S. in marketing, business, or chemistry) from a four‑year college or university – Preferred

One to two years of related experience and/or training

Experience within the chemical industry – Preferred

And/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficient in calculating figures and amounts including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical documents, business procedures, or governmental regulations.

Capable of drafting reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Able to effectively communicate information and address inquiries from diverse audiences, including managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Demonstrates practical understanding to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.

Capable of resolving issues involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical requirements include lifting and moving various weights up to 50 pounds.
