Line Of Business Personal and Commercial Banking
Job Description The Sr. Relationship Manager serves the needs of the community commercial banking business, customizing a broad range of products and services to meet the financial needs of TD's customers. The role acquires, develops, and manages commercial banking relationships by providing customized solutions across different commercial segments, building a strategy that fits the customer today and grows future business.
Responsibilities
Recognized as a top-level expert in a specific customer segment or product/service line, identifying and interpreting market trends to structure portfolios and deliver results.
Develop new business with prospects having large and complex credit needs within the assigned portfolio.
Define new approaches to selling and delivering solutions.
Anticipate emerging customer trends, recommending products and services and expanding the business.
Maintain a sophisticated understanding of customer needs and competitor offerings.
Oversee large accounts and related servicing teams.
Manage strategic relationships that involve complex products and significant business development focus.
Solve unique problems with broad impacts on business and financials.
Develop and implement innovative sales processes, including negotiation of terms.
Communicate complex ideas, anticipate objections, and persuade customers; negotiate significant terms.
Provide leadership guidance, recommend solutions, and collaborate with business to meet complex project needs.
Lead problem resolution for projects or programs with complex requirements.
Education & Experience
Undergraduate degree.
10+ years of relevant experience.
In-depth understanding of the commercial industry, business development techniques, and credit decisions.
Proven business development track record and ability to implement effective new strategies.
Extensive network of outside referral sources for new business.
Excellent credit and financial analysis skills.
Effective negotiation skills.
Customer Accountabilities
Drive growth goals (loans, deposits, fees) individually and within the team.
Coordinate sales calls, gather financial information, and support credit decision processes.
Contribute to loan decision recommendations based on risk assessment.
Negotiate terms and communicate credit decisions to prospects and customers.
Lead all aspects of relationship management for assigned portfolio or segment.
Deliver exceptional customer service and continuously improve the customer experience.
Act as a trusted advisor, providing creative products and solutions.
Use sales platforms to understand customer needs and markets.
Structure unique financing, cash management, and overall business needs.
Generate referrals to all business partners in the Bank.
Develop a clear retention plan for deposits and loans.
Maintain expert knowledge of the market, customers, and economic factors.
Respond to changes in the business environment with action plans.
Identify referral opportunities to internal Bank partners.
Develop community relationships and participate in networking events.
