As a Sales Representative, you will cultivate and grow account relationships in Charlottesville to maximize sales of supplier brands through effective planning, execution, and communication, thereby achieving company and supplier objectives.

Job Responsibilities
Call on accounts and cover daily routes by creating an established and efficient routing pattern.
Analyze the entire account base by visiting each account, identifying opportunities, completing surveys, and ensuring national account compliance.
Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations to customers, balancing the company’s priorities with customers’ needs (new products, bar placements, resets, drink and wine lists, promotions).
Maintain product levels in accounts by taking inventory and restocking shelves where legally permissible.
Educate account staff on priority brands through staff training seminars.
Manage customer account receivables by processing credits and returns and communicating with accounts about aged receivables.
Service accounts by delivering products during extenuating circumstances, handling customer issues and complaints, and referring them to management when appropriate.
Achieve sales and merchandising objectives by strategizing and pre‑planning based on company pricing and product programming information.
Understand inventory levels and alert management to possible fluctuations in demand.
Attain performance goals by meeting distribution, volume, and activity targets for supplier brands.
Ensure maximum brand visibility within accounts by maintaining account standards and using effective point‑of‑sale materials.
Obtain payments for the company by collecting and delivering checks or other remittance, where legally permissible.
Support account openings by developing opening orders for new accounts in collaboration with the Field Sales Manager.
Participate in supplier sales calls and sales blitzes.
Conduct safe and responsible interactions with the public while responsibly handling beverage alcohol products.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent training and work experience.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales.
Basic PC skills using MS Office and presentation software.
Results‑oriented professional with strong verbal and written communication skills and diplomacy.
Ability to multi‑task, work independently or within a team, pay close attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
Analytical and reporting skills.
Sound judgment and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume team environment.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance.
Physical Requirements
Remain in a stationary position at times while communicating and operating a computer and telephone.
Regularly reach overhead, squat, and bend.
Carry and lift 45–65 pounds.
Competencies
Accountable for results that impact the department.
