We are working on a Sales Manager role with a top fashion women's preppy brand. The role is based in NYC in their midtown office, working across department stores, specialty stores, and off‑price channels. The Sales Manager will lead the women's apparel wholesale division, driving revenue growth, building strong relationships, and managing the full wholesale sales cycle. The ideal candidate has strong business acumen, deep knowledge of the fashion market, and proven experience in surpassing wholesale targets.
Salary and Benefits:
Full‑time salary $110–$130K, plus bonus/commission and other perks. The team serves key accounts such as Dillard’s, TJX, and Von Maur. The role requires travel to Atlanta, Dallas, and other locations. The manager will oversee 3–4 direct reports.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive strategic sales plans to meet and exceed annual sales.
Manage departmental budget, optimize pricing strategies, negotiate contracts and terms with key accounts.
Track and manage KPIs such as sales growth, average order value (AOV), win rate, and sales cycle length.
Cultivate and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with existing wholesale clients, including department stores, specialty boutiques, and e‑commerce platforms.
Identify and secure new wholesale accounts to expand market penetration and increase overall distribution.
Handle escalated client issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Recruit, train, coach, and motivate the wholesale sales team to achieve individual and team quotas.
Collaborate closely with Design, Merchandising, and Production teams to align sales efforts with product availability and brand vision.
Oversee order processing, inventory forecasting, and logistics to ensure efficient order fulfillment and high order accuracy rates.
Monitor inventory levels, sell‑through rates, and inventory turnover to optimize stock management and minimize back‑orders.
Required Qualifications
5–7 years of wholesale sales management experience in apparel or fashion.
Deep knowledge of the women’s apparel market, seasonal cycles, trends, fabrications, and the B2B sales landscape.
Proven negotiation and presentation skills; strong analytical abilities with proficiency in sales forecasting and performance metrics.
Technical proficiency with NuOrder, Blue Cherry, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or related field (preferred).
Willingness to travel frequently to client meetings, trade shows, and corporate offices as required.
