Role Overview The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales and profit objectives for the assigned territory/industry. The role works closely with the Sales Manager to establish territory sales targets and maximize sales performance.

Responsibilities

Generate and develop new business to meet specified production goals.

Maintain and nurture existing client relationships.

Respond to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.

Prepare and present sales proposals.

Plan and manage sales territory.

Understand and communicate information regarding company products, services, and policies to new and existing clients.

Work closely with the branch inside sales and management team for alignment.

Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of industry product information.

Continuously gather information on local competition and the industry and business climate in the region; communicate information to management and others as needed.

Negotiate contracts and work agreements.

Ensure all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.

Provide timely and accurate reports as required.

Attend and participate in business/trade events that impact the business unit.

Attend and participate in team strategic sales meetings.

Perform additional duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.

5+ years of outside sales experience in the same or similar industry preferred.

Computer literate; proficient with MS Office 365.

Experience with distribution‑specific ERP systems, preferably Eclipse.

Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal).

Thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Detail‑oriented work style comfortable with juggling multiple priorities while maintaining a consistent work approach.

Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lift to 50 lbs., carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, and enduring frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
