The Role We are looking for a high-energy, results-driven Account Manager to join our growing New York branch. While our Account Executives focus on net-new acquisition, the Account Manager is the strategic partner who takes the baton 90 days post-sale.
Your mission is to nurture existing relationships, ensure long-term platform adoption, and drive revenue growth through strategic upsells and cross-sells. You will be the face of Atera for our customers, helping them transition from reactive task-taking to proactive, AI-driven problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts following the initial 90‑day onboarding period.
Revenue Growth: Identify and close upsell/cross‑sell opportunities within your book of business to meet and exceed quarterly targets.
Retention & Renewals: Manage the full renewal cycle, proactively identifying "at‑risk" accounts and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Strategic Planning: Conduct regular business reviews with customers to align Atera’s AI capabilities with their business goals.
Product Advocacy: Stay expert‑level on Atera’s evolving AI features (Autopilot, Copilot, Script Generation) to act as a consultant for IT teams.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product and R&D teams to relay customer feedback and influence the future of the Atera roadmap.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 3+ years of experience in Account Management or Sales within a B2B SaaS environment (Technical/IT product experience preferred).
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the IT ecosystem, specifically RMM, PSA, Ticketing, or Cybersecurity tools.
Sales Acumen: Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales quotas and managing complex renewal negotiations.
Communication: Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to explain complex AI-driven technical concepts to both IT pros and C‑level executives.
Mindset: A "win as a team" attitude—someone who is curious, creative, and thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth startup environment.
Base Salary: $100,000-$125,000 (dictated by experience)
OTE: $200,000-$250,000 (Uncapped commission structure)
Bonus: Quarterly bonus structure based on hitting performance thresholds.
