Reports To Senior Sales Manager, T&HS, Midwest
Position Summary Ingredion is looking for a dynamic Account Manager to join our team and drive market presence and revenue growth. Your expertise and our innovative solutions will help build strong customer relationships and achieve mutual success.
Responsibilities
Develop strategic account plans to create long‑term value for customers.
Establish strategic relationships with key accounts and sell products, services, and alternative solutions.
Develop strong multi‑level relationships between Ingredion and important customers to drive growth and address challenges.
Work with management to develop a business plan, demand forecast, and sales strategy.
Collaborate with Technical Service, Marketing, Growth Platforms, and other stakeholders to develop and close new opportunities.
Advise and work with customers to create innovative solutions and design trial plans.
Create solutions based on customer needs and quantify the value created.
Create and conduct proposals, manage RFPs, lead contract negotiations and manage pricing through the PROS system.
Manage budget and control expenses for the sales territory.
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, call reports, territory analysis, quarterly updates, and Salesforce.com data.
Conduct market analysis of customers, understand market trends and competitive pricing.
Develop and maintain effective communication channels within Ingredion regarding pricing, market trends, sales initiatives, technical requirements, new product development, and customer requests.
What You Will Bring (Experience and Knowledge)
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related business field; MBA a plus.
5+ years of direct or technical sales experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
Proven track record managing and penetrating complex accounts at multiple touchpoints and delivering results.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to prepare and deliver technical and business presentations.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Knowledgeable in financial dealings with customer accounts and proven negotiation skills.
Ability to engage in functional problem‑solving conversations with customers and internal stakeholders.
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM experience preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Pay Range $103,200.00 – $137,600.00 annually (note: not a guarantee of compensation; final salary based on various factors).
