Leasing Assistant
to support leasing operations and maintain strong tenant and client relations.
Position Overview The Leasing Assistant will support daily leasing operations, handle tenant communications, assist with documentation, and coordinate showings and scheduling for leasing agents. This temporary role offers the potential to transition to permanent based on performance and business needs.
Salary $25/hr – $30/hr
Responsibilities
Serve as a point of contact for prospective tenants, providing information and scheduling tours.
Prepare and process lease agreements, applications, renewals, and supporting documentation.
Maintain accurate records and databases of listings, leads, and tenant files.
Support leasing agents by coordinating appointments, key access, and open house logistics.
Respond to e‑mail and phone inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Assist with marketing efforts, including listing updates and creating promotional materials.
Track lease expirations and support retention efforts by sending timely renewal notices.
Coordinate move‑in/move‑out procedures with tenants and building staff.
Assist with internal reporting and compiling data for management.
Take on special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
Required Experience & Skills
2+ years of experience in a real estate, leasing, or administrative support role.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM systems.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high‑volume, client‑facing environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience & Skills
Familiarity with New York City rental regulations and leasing practices.
Experience using Yardi, AppFolio, or similar property management platforms.
Prior experience coordinating leasing or tenant relations in a high‑traffic office.
Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree is required.
