A Day in the Life of an Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) As an ABM, you will go through an 18‑24 month on‑the‑job paid training program to learn branch operations and management. After training, you will be assigned a branch to manage. Promotion to Branch Manager typically requires relocation, for which we provide a full relocation package.
Your main focus will be helping customers meet their financial goals: originate new loan business, recommend consumer loan and voluntary products, educate on credit improvement, guide through loan application, and make payment reminder calls. You will also evaluate loan applications, perform risk analysis, make credit decisions, administer loan closings, and process insurance claims. Additionally, you will support the Branch Manager with recruiting, training, and developing sales plans while promoting our core values and ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; ideal majors include Business, Finance, Sales or related field.
1 year or more of customer‑facing sales experience (e.g., retail sales, incentive‑based, goal‑oriented) preferred but not required.
Professional demeanor, positive attitude, strong communication and customer‑relations skills.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a fast‑paced team, navigating priorities.
Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background, credit history, and pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
Ability to meet eligibility requirements for insurance licensing to sell voluntary insurance products.
Willingness and ability to relocate for promotion into a Branch Manager role (full relocation package for moves > 50 miles).
