Sales Floor Manager (Burbank) – Goodwill Industries of Southeast Louisiana
Goodwill Industries of Southeast Louisiana invites qualified candidates to apply for the
Sales Floor Manager (Burbank)
position. This role supports a high‑volume retail operation of donated clothing, furniture, and household goods.
Essential Functions Responsibilities
Supervise store employees to ensure constant rotation and flow of merchandise.
Coach, train, develop, and lead the sales floor team.
Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment and positive public image.
Assist in receiving, pricing, and displaying merchandise.
Open and close the store, balance cash registers, manage cash in the safe and petty cash.
Perform all duties of store personnel, including operating a cash register, pulling reports, hanging new donations, and cleaning.
Conduct hourly floor checks and daily store walkthroughs.
Manage revenue and expense budgets to achieve or exceed goals.
Assist in employee coaching, training, and development.
Schedule employees to ensure adequate coverage.
Maintain a clean, hazard‑free store through routine cleaning.
Perform additional job‑related duties as required by management.
Skills and Abilities

Interact professionally with a diverse array of people.
Market Goodwill and explain its mission to the public.
Maintain effective relationships and motivate employees.
Conduct ongoing training and development.
Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and occasional long hours.
Perform repetitive hand movements for pulling and hanging.
Engage in prolonged standing, walking, and bending.
Function in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
Know clothing brands and household item values.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Leadership, team‑building, and mentoring experience preferred.
Experience leading retail sales teams preferred.
Reliable transportation and ability to pass an MVR check; provide valid driver’s license, liability insurance, registration, and vehicle inspection sticker.
Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power BI, and other programs).
Read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
Working Conditions Frequent physical exertion, frequent movement, indoor temperature control, occasional exposure to outdoor weather, occasional travel within the district.
