Outside Sales Representative – Rexel USA – Sparks Glencoe, MD
We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join our Rexel team. The role focuses on sales and marketing efforts aimed at increasing profitable sales by building strong relationships with new and established customers. Utilize company digital tools and products to connect with consumers, generate sales volume, and provide the highest level of customer service.
What You'll Do
Sell, market, promote, and demonstrate products while effectively communicating features and benefits.
Generate sales to new customers and increase business by selling additional products to existing customers.
Collaborate with leadership, team members, and suppliers to plan, track, and implement sales strategies and develop new markets.
Assist customers with product selection and application using knowledge, internal specialists, and supplier representatives.
Establish and maintain customer relationships.
Learn and evaluate customer operations to offer tailored solutions based on objectives and needs.
Collaborate with customers and team members for product quotations and maintain ongoing communication throughout the purchasing lifecycle.
Work with management, credit, and customers to resolve payment issues promptly.
Gather and report information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, products, and market trends.
Actively participate in professional development to improve selling skills and maintain technical capabilities.
Maintain accurate and timely records, including sales call schedules and expense reports.
Coordinate sales calls with vendors to introduce and demonstrate products, identify needs, and promote solutions.
Utilize and champion digital tools, customer solutions, and services for competitive advantage.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid Driver's License.
High School diploma or GED – required.
Positive, friendly, and helpful attitude toward customers, with sensitivity to needs.
Customer‑oriented, motivated, with excellent communication, presentation, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent negotiation, interpersonal skills, and ability to influence decisions.
Product and application knowledge essential.
Highly self‑motivated.
Familiar with Microsoft Office and relevant ERP and CRM systems.
Additional Information For the state of Maryland only, the pay range is $100,000 to $120,000, depending upon qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law.

Walk: Must move around inside/outside office or work location – constantly (at least 51%).
Use hands: Operate computer and other office machinery – constantly (at least 51%).

Climb/Balance: May ascend/descend ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment – occasionally (up to 20%).
