The incumbent in this position through a strength-based approach develops a street and community presence in which to provide education and awareness to youth (12-17), young adults (18-24), and community members and organizations. The incumbent will engage, assess, and intervene with youth and young adults (12-24), providing crisis based case management.
Outgoing personality with strong communication skills
Available to work evenings and weekends
Master’s degree in Social Work, can be substituted with Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with
three years of experience with homeless populations.
Minimum of 2 years of experience counseling and or case managing youth at risk or homeless adults; prefer recent experience in crisis intervention.
Strong multi-tasking skills and time management
Ability to work cooperatively with different types of personalities
Well-established writing ability and inter-personal communication skills
Great attention to detail
Ability to work independently and without close supervision successfully; self motivated
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and knowledge of web based applications
Enthusiastic and energetic team player
Awareness of and passion for young adults and family issues
