This position oversees all aspects of the Operations Department and reports to the Site Administrator. Required Knowledge & Abilities:

Principles of offender supervision. Modern correctional principles and practices as they relate to resident accountability and security best practices. Knowledge of management and supervisory principles; investigative techniques and procedures. Knowledge of ACA and PREA standards. Knowledge of communication styles that foster effective and professional interaction with staff, residents and agency representatives. Responsible for the overall supervision of the operations department. Oversee processes and procedures for the movement of residents in line with company procedures. Ensures that accurate population counts are maintained. Oversight of Resident Medication Logs including destruction of sharps. Ensure that all substance abuse testing follows contract agency standards. Maintains oversight of all hiring and orientation of new employees. Oversee compliance with the scheduling and transportation of residents. Ensure that staffing levels are maintained and overtime is held to a minimum. Ensures safety, security and housekeeping services for the location in accordance with company standards. Oversees staff in maintaining regulatory compliance with all contracting agency standards. Ensure all operations reports (i.e. Shift, Environmental etc.) are completed in a timely manner. Ensures Department compliance and proficiency in Crisis Intervention and Emergency Response Procedures. Maintain and update all SOP’s and Emergency Procedures. Maintains effective working relationships with contracting agencies. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor Academic and Work Experience:

Minimum requirements are a bachelor’s degree in business, human services, or criminal justice and 3 years of experience in management, supervision or service delivery. Additional job experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
