Job Title

Develops, maintains, and chairs the Patient Safety Council, including maintaining the Patient Safety Dashboard and presenting it to QIC. Conducts, documents, and maintains Failure Mode Event Analysis (FMEA) as required for regulatory standards. Provides oversight for risk management event analysis, loss control initiative implementation, risk management data management, and internal claims management program. Ensures risk management regulatory compliance with federal and accreditation entities such as CMS and TJC. Reviews, investigates, and resolves patient complaints and grievances to ensure regulatory compliance. Serves as a risk management resource to departmental staff, hospital staff, physicians, and other allied health professionals. Reports risk management data routinely to facility administration and Board of Directors as outlined in the risk management program. Coordinates and instructs business office personnel to suspend billing pending claim investigation and authorizes administrative adjustments if necessary. Directs departmental functions utilizing key performance indicators to identify and reduce organizational risk. Identifies known and potential exposures to accidental loss on an ongoing basis. Directs and coordinates the claim management program to align with risk management operations and fairly negotiates resolution of claims within established settlement authority. Gathers underwriting information and insurance specifications at the time of renewal for risk management. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements: Bachelor's (Required), Master'sCertified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Registered Nurse (RN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body Pay Range: $92,877.13 - $172,742.40
