As Director of Catering who shares our values and passion for the industry, you will lead our catering team within the renowned Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago is a contemporary art museum near the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago, which was established in 1967, and is one of the world's largest contemporary art venues. We offer our associates an entrepreneurial atmosphere with continued growth and leadership opportunities along with a competitive base salary and monthly commission program rewarding successful performance. We provide upscale food and beverage management services to a very diverse collection of national accounts to include art museums, performing arts centers, hotels, performing theaters, restaurants, and special event venues. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting site visits and closing business for the museum. Representing the museum's special events department at networking and industry-related gatherings. Developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with our client and building staff. Producing monthly forecast of performance to budget and plan. Developing and achieving the annual Catering Revenue Budget. Submitting monthly reports. Maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. Ensuring our company policies and procedures are enforced in a fair and consistent manner. What we're looking for: Five years prior experience with a proven record of accomplishment in a similar facility. College Degree. Willing to work flexible hours (i.e. weekends, evening). Must be extremely organized. Strong communication skills and be able to speak, read, and write English fluently. Possess excellent supervisory skills. Computer proficient.
