Community Recreation Specialist
Do you have a passion for Ice Skating/Hockey and working with kids? Look no further, this job's for you! We are looking for a Community Recreation Specialist at the Brightspeed Ice Park. What you'll do: Act as a site supervisor during operating hours. Serve guests through top-notch customer service. Provide guidance, training, onboarding, and leadership to part-time staff. Assist with organizing and facilitating Ice Park programs and events. This assignment will work with a variety of youth and adult ice sports programs. What you'll need: Demonstrated experience in a customer service role. Experience working within computer systems such as program registration and point-of-sale systems. A desire to work with and around a diverse group of athletes, co-workers, and guests. Experience working within an Ice Park facility is not required. What you'll love: Teamwork: our Ice Park team is collaborative, flexible and supportive. Recreational and competitive ice sports can be found at the Ice Park. The Ice Park is home to the MSU Ice Bears, Drury Panthers, the Springfield Youth Hockey Association, and the Jordan Valley Figure Skating Club. Experience, Education, and Training: Requires two years of college with an emphasis in Recreation, Physical Education, Park Administration, Outdoor Education, Childhood Development, Education or closely related area; OR Two years of work experience assisting with organizing and conducting recreational activities. PREFERRED Education/experience related to current vacancy.
