Project Director
Hackney Wick – £35M student accommodation scheme (Tier 2 Main Contractor | Permanent | Start: November 2025 | London)
We have a reputable Tier 2 Main Contractor seeking an experienced Project Director to lead a £35M student accommodation scheme in Hackney Wick.
Responsibilities
Overall leadership and management of the £35M student accommodation scheme.
Drive all aspects of delivery from pre-construction through to completion.
Provide direction and support to the site and project teams.
Ensure the programme, quality, and safety standards are met to company and client expectations.
Build strong relationships with the client, design team, and key stakeholders.
Prepare to transition onto a second major project once this one is established.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager leading new-build schemes £30M+.
Background with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor, ideally within student accommodation, residential, or mixed-use sectors.
Strong leadership, commercial, and client-facing skills.
Technically competent, with a hands-on approach to delivery and problem-solving.
Able to manage multiple project stages and teams effectively.
Location & Compensation Location: Hackney Wick, East London
Salary: £120,000 - £140,000 /annum + Car allowance + Package + Bonus
