MechanAir is seeking a Director of Strategic Operations to drive enterprise-wide operational excellence across our multi-entity, multi-state mechanical services platform. This role sits at the intersection of operations, finance, systems, and people, translating strategy into repeatable, measurable execution that protects margin and enables growth.

In this role, you’ll lead ERP and field-system integration, procurement centralization, operating rhythm standardization, and M&A operational integration—partnering closely with Finance, HR, and field leadership to deliver real EBITDA impact.

What You’ll Do As Director of Strategic Operations, you’ll own the systems, processes, and governance that allow our platform to scale with discipline and consistency.

Enterprise Operations & Governance

Establish and maintain a unified operating rhythm across all entities (monthly KPIs, quarterly operating reviews)

Standardize SOPs, workflows, and accountability models across construction, service, procurement, and administrative functions

Improve predictability in scheduling, productivity, job planning, quality, and project closeout

ERP, Systems & Internal Controls

Lead operational implementation and adoption of Sage Intacct, Procore, and integrated CRM solutions

Oversee Salesforce retirement and CRM migration to Sage Intacct

Partner with the Corporate Controller to align cost codes, approval workflows, internal controls, and reporting structures

Drive system adoption through structured rollout plans, training coordination, and adoption metrics

Procurement & Shared Services

Build and lead a centralized procurement and shared services function

Consolidate vendor spend to reduce cost of sales and strengthen pricing leverage

Track and report procurement savings, synergy capture, and purchasing compliance

Implement enterprise purchasing policies and inventory controls

Field Operations Optimization

Improve job setup, labor planning, material staging, change order management, and closeout consistency

Support field leaders in adopting Procore, planning tools, and productivity metrics

Partner with Safety and HR to strengthen field readiness and leadership expectations

M&A Operational Integration

Serve as operational lead for acquisition due diligence and post-close integration

Identify operational risks, capability gaps, and synergy opportunities

Develop and execute integration roadmaps across systems, procurement, org alignment, and controls

Coordinate cross-functional integration efforts with Finance, HR, and entity leadership

Finance & HR Partnership

Improve job costing accuracy, WIP reliability, and budget-to-actual reporting

Ensure operational changes support audit readiness and internal controls

Support HR-led change management, training, and performance alignment tied to operational initiatives

What You Bring

7–10+ years of experience in operations, systems integration, construction/mechanical services, or enterprise process improvement

Demonstrated success leading ERP or field-system implementations (Sage Intacct, Procore, CRM preferred)

Strong financial and analytical acumen (job costing, WIP, ROI, KPI dashboards)

Proven ability to lead cross-functional, multi-site change initiatives

Clear executive-level communication and decision-support capability

Willingness and ability to travel 30–50% across multi-state locations

Bonus Points For

Experience in private-equity-backed or multi-entity platforms

M&A due diligence or post-close integration experience

Background in mechanical construction or field operations

Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training

Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $139,500 – $176,700 (based on experience and qualifications)

Bonus Eligibility: Target 10–15%, based on EBITDA impact, operational KPIs, procurement savings, and system adoption
