CAD Drafter
Are you looking for a challenge? Looking for an innovative organization and the opportunity to learn and grow professionally? We can help! We are seeking a CAD Drafter to support government proposal efforts on an as-needed basis. Design work is primarily facility-related, and for approximately the next three months, availability to prioritize proposal deadlines is required. This is a non-senior role well suited for a reliable drafter with strong technical fundamentals and proposal experience or interest. At Terrestris, we leverage technology to create better mission outcomes through better human performance. We form strong client and team relationships through transparency and strive to create an environment where our team can let their excellence shine through. By finding, developing, and incorporating new ideas, we provide memorable services. Rooted in the USMC values of honor, courage, and commitment, Terrestris seeks to deliver extraordinary value to the American people by helping the Government become more efficient and effective. The CAD Drafter provides on-demand drafting support for government proposal efforts by creating, revising, and finalizing CAD drawings in support of technical narratives and design concepts. The role focuses primarily on facility-related layouts and systems and requires the ability to work remotely under compressed proposal schedules. The CAD Drafter collaborates closely with proposal managers and technical staff to ensure drawings are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. This is a non-senior, part-time/1099 position with priority availability required during active proposal periods. You will: Collaborate remotely with proposal managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate interpretation of design intent. Prepare documents, technical drawings, and supporting documentation in accordance with industry standards and company guidelines. Review and incorporate redlines, markups, and design changes in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure all drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and best practices. Manage drawing files, naming conventions, and version control within shared digital workspaces. Support project timelines by meeting deadlines and communicating progress or issues proactively. Participate in virtual meetings, design reviews, and coordination sessions as needed. Maintain proficiency with CAD software, tools, and emerging technologies relevant to the role. You might be the professional we're looking for if you have: Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship. Proficiency in CAD software relevant to the role (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, or similar). Ability to produce accurate, detailed technical drawings and models from sketches, redlines, or design specifications. Strong understanding of drafting standards, drawing conventions, and basic design principles. Experience working with digital file management systems, version control, and cloud-based collaboration tools. Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality. We offer outstanding benefits including health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, as well as paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, and work-life programs. Our award programs acknowledge employees for exceptional performance and superior demonstration of our service standards. Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in our benefit programs. Other offerings may be provided for employees not within this category. Terrestris is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). Qualified applicants are considered for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
