AWS is seeking a Principal Account Leader for one of the most important customer relationships in our global games business. This customer is a leading developer and publisher of some of the most played games on the planet, with a player base in the hundreds of millions and a long track record of technical innovation. The role is a high‑visibility position focused on deepening a large and active cloud partnership. The ideal candidate is located on the west side of Los Angeles and is able to support regular in‑person engagement, typically one to two days per week on campus.

You will be responsible for managing a substantial existing business while also identifying and accelerating new areas of growth, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, data transformation, developer enablement, and global infrastructure optimization. Success in this role requires operating as a business owner—someone who is comfortable with complexity, deeply curious, and focused on long‑term customer impact.

This is a senior‑level role. You will be expected to lead with strategic thinking, collaborate across AWS and customer teams, and bring together the right technical, product, and executive stakeholders to move outcomes forward. Experience in gaming, media, or platform businesses is a plus, especially when paired with an ability to navigate large engineering organizations.

Key responsibilities:

Manage a large and multifaceted cloud relationship with one of the world’s top game developers and publishers.

Identify, scope, and drive growth areas across AIML, data and analytics, infrastructure, and developer platforms.

Collaborate with technical specialists, support teams, and AWS leadership to ensure customer success.

Act as a trusted advisor and advocate within the customer’s organization, from developers to senior leadership.

Develop and execute a forward‑looking account plan grounded in business priorities and measurable outcomes.

Apply strong business acumen to act as a strategic partner to product and engineering leaders.

Demonstrate proven success managing both mature lines of business and emerging opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

7+ years of technology‑related sales, business development, or equivalent experience.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Experience working with and presenting to C‑level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling cloud solutions at a software company or equivalent.

Experience with AWS and technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
