Mailroom & Events Attendant

The hourly pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00. The work hours for this position are Mon-Fri, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. The Mailroom & Events Attendant plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations across mailroom, shipping, and events functions. This position handles a range of tasks including receiving, sorting, and delivering mail across various buildings, managing shipping and receiving duties, and providing courier services. Beyond mailroom responsibilities, this role also involves setting up and breaking down event spaces for meetings, conferences, and other business-related events, ensuring that all events run seamlessly. Success criteria include understanding customer service and satisfaction, arriving on time every day, presenting a professional appearance and conduct, complying with safety rules, performing work assignments in a team, following all company procedures, using proper personal protective equipment, and building respectful relationships with all teammates and guests. Key areas of collaboration and influence involve taking direction and responding to supervision, effectively communicating with leadership, co-workers, and customers in a professional manner, and presenting a professional appearance and conduct. Ideal candidate experience includes a passion for customer service, a positive attitude, accountability and dependability, the ability to work independently, a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ years of experience in a relevant field preferred, knowledge of Microsoft Office functions, knowledge of basic mathematics and general office practices, and the ability to determine work priorities. Key accountabilities include inspecting all received packages according to safety standards, shipping packages (including international shipments), receiving daily deliveries from UPS, FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, as well as any other courier drop offs, supply inventory management, checking inbound packages into the web-based tracking system, sorting and separating packages by assigned building, receiving, checking in, and documenting incoming pallet shipments, keeping the loading dock and receiving area clean and organized, delivering packages/materials/mail, assisting with package/mail distributions and collections, a strong commitment to company service values, always remembering safety first, building respectful relationships with all teammates and guests, willingness to take direction, building rapport with delivery vendors and customers, assisting with room tidiness and organization, stocking conference room supplies, event space set up, cleaning, servicing, organizing, and break down, and assisting other departments as needed. Physical demands and work environment include working up to 8 hours a day on your feet, excluding breaks, being able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., coming to work properly dressed according to the dress code, and being able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods. For California employees, suitable seating is available for this position.
