Corporate Director of Sales
Position at Windsor Hospitality (Santa Monica, CA)
Base Pay Range $160,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
Purpose for the Position Reporting to the Vice President of Revenue Management, the Corporate Director of Sales is responsible and accountable for all Sales activities across the Windsor portfolio, serving as the key driver to maximize revenue and secure strategic business. The role leads property Sales Leaders and General Managers, provides guidance, tools and best practices, and reviews action plans, business plans and other reports.
Location: Santa Monica headquarters; required travel within the portfolio (40% field).
Essential Responsibilities
Work with General Managers/Sales teams to achieve budgeted sales.
Establish sales tools and best practices to maximize revenue opportunities.
Set goals and action plans around proactive business and account maintenance.
Provide guidance for business plan development for on‑property Sales Leaders and review.
Create best practices for daily sales activities and roll them out to the field.
Source, hire and train new field Sales Leader positions and support hiring of Sales Managers/Coordinators on‑property.
Build a guest‑focused field Sales team with clear action plans for the department and hotel.
Review contracts with Corporate Revenue Manager to ensure revenue is maximized and partnerships serve hotel interests.
Run monthly sales production reports and forecasts for the portfolio; provide executive summaries and highlight risks/opportunities.
Audit field Sales Leaders to ensure adherence to best practices.
Collaborate with Hotel leadership and Revenue team to keep sales goals and market share targets on track and develop market strategies.
Assist in annual evaluation of field Sales Leaders; provide coaching or action plans as needed to meet targets.
Qualifications
10+ years of hospitality experience as Director of Sales or Regional Director of Sales; hotel experience required.
Comprehensive understanding of the hotel sector, market segments, consumer demographics and industry trends.
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking and negotiation skills.
Outstanding leadership and management aptitude with a motivated sales workforce.
Excellent relationship‑building, professional demeanor and time‑management skills.
Proven resilience under pressure, managing priorities in a dynamic setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field (MBA preferred).
