General Summary

Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life. Acts as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing, and distribution as the product(s) and/or product line(s) move through their lifecycle. Formulates and executes long‑term roadmaps for cost/profit control, promotes new technologies and industry-leading trends, and directs all phases of product development and maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.

5+ years of Product Management or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of Product Management or related experience.

3+ years working in a large matrixed organization.

2+ years working with operating budgets and/or project financials.

2+ years negotiating third‑party business agreements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities Identify market gaps based on complex analyses and provide insights for design conversations.

Lead collaboration in creating business cases and validate them for new, complex product development.

Market new and complex products at conferences, congresses, and through direct customer contact, driving product launch efforts.

Prepare and deliver highly complex technical presentations on product roadmaps to customers.

Translate customer feedback and external environment into product roadmap changes and communicate to senior leaders.

Direct and oversee development of highly complex products or new product areas and services independently, maintaining communication across functional teams.

Complete product development and definition activities for new or highly complex products, including cost determination and interacting with sales to generate forecasts.

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of competitors, technology advances, and the product ecosystem, leading innovation of new and complex products to articulate differentiation to customers and identify trends.

Communicate regularly with leadership following a communication plan to ensure cross‑functional understanding of product plans.

Ensure successful cross‑functional collaboration by meeting agreed KPIs and specifications for new, complex products upon delivery by engineering team.

Collaborate with key stakeholders and program sponsors to develop product goals (performance, cost, timeline, customer schedules), discuss feasibility, and facilitate cross‑functional decision making.

Level of Responsibility Works independently with little supervision.

Makes significant decisions; errors have substantial impact.

Communicates complex information to multiple audiences, often at senior leadership level.

Provides input on key organizational decisions; consulted by senior leadership.

Exercises exceptional creativity to innovate new ideas and develop products/processes without established objectives.

Uses advanced data analysis and interpretation skills to solve complex problems.

Periodically participates in strategic planning within own area.

Pay Range and Benefits
