Overview
Senior Tax Analyst position is based at the Hilton corporate office in Memphis, TN or Remote. The role is part of the Tax Operations team within Finance and Accounting. The analyst will focus on federal and state tax compliance for domestic and international entities, reviewing and preparing tax returns while ensuring accurate calculations and documentation.
Responsibilities
Prepare U.S. tax compliance activity for Forms 1120, 8858, and 5471.
Ensure compliance files are mathematically accurate, include proper disclosures, and are audit-ready.
Document and maintain compliance files in formats ready for IRS and state audit.
Apply GAAP (ASC 740) and IFRS accounting for income taxes in collaboration with accounting teams.
Support the Audit Controversy team by providing guidance for audits.
Assist in designing and implementing process improvements to accelerate tax processes while maintaining accuracy.
Research and document U.S. Internal Revenue Code tax positions using research software (RIA, CCH, BNA).
Qualifications
One (1) year of income tax experience in corporate or public accounting.
Proficiency in MS Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables).
Experience working with corporate financial systems (PeopleSoft, SAP).
Fluent in corporate tax software (Corptax, OneSource).
Strong understanding of the Internal Revenue Code.
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS or higher degree.
CPA certification.
Two (2) years of corporate or public accounting income tax experience.
