Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
Elliott University Center is a department within the Division of Student Affairs. The mission of the department is to maintain facilities, provide services, and promote programs that are responsive to student developmental needs and to the physical, social, recreational, and continuing education needs of the campus community. The department strives to provide a welcoming and supportive environment that contributes to the educational process and enhances the campus experience by building campus community through its involvement with student organizations, campus departments, and external constituents.
Position Summary
The Associate Director for EUC Operations is the primary administrative contact for Elliott University Center and manages all daily operations of the EUC facility, a building that hosts approximately 12,000 events and meetings annually. This position is the primary policy creator and evaluator for the EUC departmental building procedures and protocol pertaining to customer service interactions and incident documentation. It is also the first departmental on‑call contact for emergencies in EUC during business hours and after hours/on weekends. The Associate Director supervises the Manager of Technology Services and indirectly the Coordinator of Technology Services, oversees audio/visual functions, orders equipment, trains front‑desk student workers and facility managers, coordinates with facilities staff, schedules meetings with building tenants, and manages events in the EUC Auditorium and Cone Ballroom.
Minimum Qualifications
Relevant Master’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant undergraduate degree and relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations of the Elliott University Center: ensures adherence to guidelines, oversees reservations and installations, manages A/V logistics, acts as primary contact for EUC events, produces reports, consults with business and communications offices, maintains maintenance schedules.
Supervision: leads the Manager of Technology Services, manages the five‑year replacement plan, reviews leave time, selects and trains student employees (approx. 35), monitors performance of the Coordinator of Technology Services.
EUC Facilities and Event Management Oversight: conducts daily walk‑throughs, submits work orders, oversees repairs, coordinates events in the Cone Ballroom and auditorium, enforces customer‑service policies, develops emergency protocols, maintains safety standards, provides evening/weekend support for large events.
Liaison to EUC Occupants: holds monthly meetings with tenant departments, notifies tenants of changes, consults on office modifications and repairs.
Special Event Management: plans and executes quarterly campus‑wide blood drives, manages space, marketing, student volunteers, and coordinates special events with relevant offices.
Other Duties: performs additional duties as needed at the request of the Director or senior management.
