Program Director - Community Partnership
Title: Director, Community Partnership (CP) Reports to:
Vice President, Community Resource Programs Location:
692 Blake Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11207 Hours:
35 Hours/Week; Exempt Schedule:
9 am- 5 pm or 10 am - 6 pm,required evenings and weekends Program Overview: The
Community Partnership (CP)
in East New York organizes local service and civic organizations, along with community residents, to provide primary prevention networks and resources for the benefit of the community. Key components of CP include: Building partnerships Coordinating service referral and utilization Building community capacity and social capital support Community knowledge sharing Collaboration with ACS and other city agencies The Director will supervise all services offered by CP, ensuring professionalism and compliance with agency policy and contractual commitments. While there is an existing CPP network in East New York, the Director will be responsible for building out a new model for collaboration, community engagement, and service delivery. Major Duties: Directly supervise Community Organizer and Community Ambassador staff Build strong relationships with current CP members and recruit new members to the CP network Work with the CP Board to further create a governance team with appropriate skills Design and implement outreach and service delivery efforts that reach the East New York Community Organize and facilitate monthly meetings and work group activities of the CP network Organize monthly trainings for community members and service providers on best practices in youth and family development and community development Develop and implement staff training in collaboration with the Vice President that is conducive to staff learning needs and responsive to service delivery and advocacy in the community Implement agency policy and procedures Maintain community outreach in the designated community district to enhance services and maintain program impact Oversee program evaluation and quality improvement activities in coordination with the Program Evaluation and Planning (PEP) Department Lead analysis of process and impact indicators, while developing recommendations with stakeholders in coordination with the PEP Department Ensure all Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) contract obligations are met Represent agency on relevant internal and external coalitions, committees, and workgroups Ensure physical site is maintained in accordance with agency standards, including coordination of space, administrative, and supervisory coverage Work collaboratively with other programs in the Community Resource Division, Community-Based Programs, and GSS as a whole Perform other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: Self-starter with creativity and innovation 5 years of advanced supervisory experience Experience living or working in the East New York Community preferred Must be able to be flexible to workrequired evenings and weekends Strong administrative, community organizing, planning, and social work skills
