SoC Cost & Product Strategy Analyst

Apple is seeking an SoC Cost & Product Strategy Analyst within the Operations Product Development (OPD) organization to help influence early-stage silicon and product roadmap decisions. This role aims to optimize overall SoC spend by balancing yield recovery strategies, product performance requirements, and operational complexities. Responsibilities
Invent and improve forecasting models to provide accurate long-term projections of SoC bin supply to guide product definition, capacity and storage requirements, and financial planning. Build and maintain cost allocation models to ensure high-fidelity and timely cost projections for each SoC/Product intersection. Conduct scenario analyses to match SoC specs with product requirements, evaluate the cost benefits vs technical or operational trade-offs, and recommend allocation decisions to leadership. Publish SoC cost files on a regular cadence to support the NPI business process; provide clear commentary on forecast-over-forecast changes. Maintain SoC/Product roadmap charts, and prepare supporting materials for various executive reviews. Lead & document reoccurring meetings with key cross-functional teams to align on supply & cost assumptions. Maintain cost & silicon mapping data in existing internal systems and champion initiatives to unify data across systems, improving accuracy while reducing effort. Explore a system-based solution to manage both supply & cost allocation forecasting models, recruiting cross-functional support & engagement to define system requirements for a centralized solution across organizations. Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of relevant experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain or related area BS/BA in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or a related field Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to grasp complex engineering topics related to silicon design & manufacturing Experience managing complex forecasting models Preferred Qualifications
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; ability to grasp complex engineering topics related to SoCs and silicon design / fabrication processes Superb communication and interpersonal skills, with strong executive presence and proven ability to influence cross-functionally Ability to recommend defensible decisions with incomplete data while maintaining both attention to detail and a big-picture perspective Experience implementing cross-functional multi-user systems and driving process improvements Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience in silicon cost modeling, semiconductor manufacturing, and/or yield recovery techniques Familiarity with AI/ML applications for decision optimization Demonstrated success in implementing systems and/or cross-functional process improvements Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $128,400 and $193,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
